Steven Gerrard And Gary McAllister Among Several Renowned Panelists In Five Day Coach Education Program Organized By Scottish Champions
As part of Bengaluru FC’s partnership with Scottish football giants Rangers FC, Bengaluru FC Youth Academy and BFC Soccer Schools Coaches attended an exclusive webinar organized by the Rangers FC International Soccer Academy earlier this month. The insightful sessions engaged the coaches in a host of topics including Game Model, Methodology, Player Care, Scouting and Recruitment.
Gers’ Head Coach and English football legend Steven Gerrard was also in attendance as one of the panelists, and was joined by Sporting Director Ross Wilson, Head of Academy Craig Mulholland, Men’s First Team Coach Michael Beale and Assistant Coach Gary McAllister among others.
“This was one of the most insightful webinars I have attended and was very informative for all our Youth Coaches. To understand how the club has transformed its structure over the past three years was brilliant,” said Suhel Nair, Technical Head of Grassroots and BFC Soccer Schools.
Under Gerrard, Rangers FC were crowned Scottish League champions for a record 55th time this season, ending their League campaign unbeaten while also reaching the quarterfinals of the UEFA Europa League.
“We saw from the sidelines what Rangers achieved, but to see and understand how every department pulled its weight in celebrating that success was extremely inspiring. Every cog is important in the overall success of the club, right from the academy to the first team, and to understand that was an incredible experience,” added Nair.
The Rangers FC International Soccer Academy aims to bring Youth Coaches from across the world under one roof to share their experiences, understand more about the game from around the globe and impart knowledge on player development, recruitment and more.
The five day workshop also accounted for UEFA’s Continuous Professional Development (CPD) points for the attending coaches.
